Our partner from the Kenyatta University Living Lab, recently visited the SIFLOOP Hub, one of the winners of the first INCiTiS-FOOD Open Call, to follow the progress of its Black Soldier Fly (BSF)-based circular system. The visit provided an opportunity to explore how the system is being implemented in practice, the challenges encountered along the way, and the solutions developed to keep the initiative moving forward. Encouragingly, the project has already made significant progress in establishing a functioning demonstration system under local conditions, while also showing strong potential for replication among small-scale farmers and community groups.
