Ben-Gurion University of the Negev is one of the leading research universities in Israel. Additionally, the University is a leader in environmental research in Israel. Currently it has around 20,000 students and a staff of 4,000. Their fields of expertise include, among others, natural sciences, engineering sciences, The School of Sustainability and Climate Change, etc. Its 100,000+ alumni have amongst them players in important parts of research and development. Besides having three main campuses, the University is home to multiple research institutes.

 

Role in the project:

The Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU) is leading Task 2.4.4 for iterative optimization of MVPs. It will also contribute to T1.4 (conceptualising the WEFE Nexus for (peri-)urban food systems), T4.1 (generating evidence on impact of circular innovations on welfare of adopters), and to other project activities. All in all, it will bring its expertise to monitor abiotic and biotic parameters of water, as well as foods produced by agri-food enterprises.
